Goldsboro - Helen Louise Gray McDonald, 78, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at the Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Helen was born in Wayne County on September 15, 1931 to the late Emmett and Bessie Lee Gray. She was married to the late Elvin Moore McDonald. Helen will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home followed by a service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. James Frasher officiating. Private interment for the family will be at Willow Dale Cemetery in Goldsboro.

Helen is survived by her son, Kevin Moore McDonald of New York, New York; her daughter, Connie Lynn McDonald Smith of Alabama; her sister, Edna Singleton of Mount Olive; five grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard Allen McDonald.
